Desert Stars powered armor is very different from typical types found throughout the world. Unlike the
Standard hydrolic & servo motor systems, this system is based entirely on a metal and plastic scaffold of synthetic
musculature and rigid supports, with an electrical neural web, linked to hand controls, operating it. It was
developed barely a year before the time of the Rifts, leaving it as probably the most advanced system developed
to date. There are many different types of Frames, more commonly known as chassis. They are usually known by
their name instead of by their performance rate. NOTE: Once the Chassis is sellected, it cannot be changed.

*The first didgit is the base speed of the chassis in mention, the second number is the maximum amount of speed
that the chassis may be boosted to (see below).
Making Additions to Your' Chassis
Adding Strength
Adding Strength is more difficult than one would expect. Without reinforcing the frame, the strength of the
chassis can only be increased by up to five points, however the price will sometimes be rather high! For every
1 PS desired it will cost 1/10 the base price of the chassis. Reinforcing the chassis will allow the units' strength
to be increased even more! The reinforcement costs an additional 200,000 credits, adds another 25% to the weight,
and allows up to five more PS points to be added at a cost of 1/5 the chassis cost per point.
Adding Speed
Adding Speed is a fairly basic procedure, of building up the drive systems with better electronics, replacing
typical drive motors, and increasing the electrical output of the reactor in place. The first number in the Chassis
Inventory Table is the starting speed of the Chassis, however the second number is the maximum speed
the frame is capable of. For every 5 mph desired it will cost 1/100th the base price of the frame.
