This is Desert Star's primary defense force. These are the mountain men responsible for securing the wilderness regions of Desert Star. (Remember, Desert Star is surounded by mountains!) They are well trained in techniques of stealth, wilderness training, and weapons handling. Making these troops truely capable of "Night Or Midday Assault Or Defense". They are typically dispatched in pairs to recon the immediate wilderness surounding Desert Star, while a squad sized group would be assembled to travel to the outer reaches of Desert Star.
Attribute Requirements: IQ of 9 or higher, and a PE of 15 or higher is required while a high PP would help, it is not manditory.
Attribute Bonuses: +1 to P.E., +2 to P.S., and +20 SDC/MDC.
Combat Bonus: +2 Save vs Horror Factor, +20% to Prowl.

Other Equipment: 3 Signal flares, utility belt, gas mask, air filter, radio: 50 mi range, two canteens, backpack, 1 month rations, Multi Optics band, tent, sleeping bag, Water purification unit, geiger counter, laser distancer, pocket homing beacon unit (75 mi range with a life of two months.), wooden mallet, 5 wooden stakes, and a silver plated survival knife. Vehicles are limited to an S-Mart Jet Pack (Nuclear power: 6 year life, 120 mph max), S-Mart 5050 Mountain recon vehicle (See S-Mart's Armored Vehicles.), S-Mart Pinoccio Reconnaisance Armored Vehicle (See S-Mart's Armored Vehicles.), or an S-Mart Dustfish hovercraft.
