These figures are chimeras; figures constructed from various lineages. Although the Star Trek line does not lend itself too well to inclusion of elements from other lines, some combinations are possible. The figures on this page are prototypes of unproduced Star Trek figures. The origin and authenticity of these prototypes has not been verified.

Lt. Ackbar".

Lt. Ackbar was made from the head of Admiral Ackbar from the Star Wars line and the body of a Lt. Barclay. The combination works fairly well except for the hands. I was going to use Admiral Ackbars hands as well to complete the effect, but Lt. Barclay's hands are those rare ones (for Playmates, at least) that can actually hold some of the accessories fairly well. Instead, I think Lt. Ackbar's current hands will be painted brown to match his head.

JarJar Binks Joins Starfleet .

Mr. Binks was made from the head of JarJar Binks from the Star Wars: Episode One line and the body of an Admiral McCoy. Here again, the macrocephalic nature of Mr. Binks puts his head in scale with the Star Trek bodies. I chose the retired Amiral's leisure suit body as the arms on that figure were quite thin, and the very intricate paint deco on JarJar's arms is a very nice touch.

Earthworm Jim Kirk.

In one of the more bizarre experiments Playmates has conducted to cut costs and increase profits was the internal crossovers series "The Chimeras". Prototypes of The Chimeras series were created from parts from various lines produced by Playmates to form new characters. Use of existing molds would have allowed these to be produced in a very cost-effective manner. Earthworm Jim Kirk has the head of a Generations Kirk and the body of an Earthworm Jim figure.

Earthworm Jim in a First Contact uniform".

Earthworm Jim in a Starfleet uniform has the head of Earthworm Jim himself, and the body of a First Contact Worf.

Sewer Swimmin' Teenage Mutant Wesley Crusher.

Antoher in "The Chimeras" line. Teenage Mutant Wesley was created from the head of a cadet Wesley figure and the body of one of TNMNT figures. COWABUNGA, DUDE!

Starfleet Leonardo

Leonardo in First Contact uniform. Again, one of the "The Chimeras" lineup. Leonardo, a pizza-eatin' Starfleet freak was created with the head of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and the body of a First Contact Geordi.
