The Once and Future Con

Once long ago in a galaxy awfully close to Fredericksburg, there lived a group of believers. Those who knew that someday, somehow, the CON would return to take up the mantle of Kingship and lead them into battle against the Boredom of the 'Burg. And they waited, and they waited, and then they waited some more. Then the group of steadfast believers said 'Bugger it, I'm Bored." and created their own Con.

And thus did the Mary Washington College club, known as POD, did attempt to hold a Con. They ran through the hills, and the streets and the puddles, and the campus buildings, and did try their very best. And thus did they learn that: If you hold it... nobody comes. But they were not put out, nor discouraged, nor even a teensy-tiny bit upset. (Well, maybe a pinch.) And they did resolve to hold a better Con the next year.
