Maldonado, Uruguay

The Department of Maldonado in Uruguay is located east of the Uruguayan Capitol, Montevideo. It is separated by the Department of Canelones. Maldonado is known for its beautiful coastal cities, such as Piriapolis and Punta del Este. The beautiful beaches in these cities attracts tourist from all around the world, but mainly from Argentina and Brazil.

Punta del Este.

This aerial view of Punta del Este, the pearl of the Atlantic, or "The Paradise found" as some like to call this place, shows only a little of all its wonders. Punta is located 80 miles east of Montevideo. Considerated by many as the best summer resort of all South America.

Piriapolis.

Piriapolis is personaly the most beautiful city of Uruguay, as far as summer resorts are concerned (but that's personal) Surounded with hills (about 1400 feet high) and with white sandy beaches stretching for about 3 miles, this places is just out of this world!!
