The battle ensign flown by H.M.S. Rodney
during the engagement with the Bismarck.

Marines at H.M.S. Eaglet (Plymouth Barracks)
L-R William Campbell, C Edmond, A Lasson,
O Crossley, E Papworth, J Haworth and E Russon.
Not known if any other than W. Campbell were
drafted to HMS Rodney.

Probably pre 1942 as no evidence of camouflage on funnel.

William Campbell reclining in foreground of
photo. Other personnel unknown. Thought to be
at Gibraltar. Unknown destroyer in background.

Pre 1942 as no camouflage on turret or bridge but
counter-shading on 16" gun barrels.

Captain J Rivett-Carnac? addressing the crew. The
boiler-suited figure with letters KG on breast pocket
is Kenneth Graham who lives in Greenock, Scotland.

Relaxing on deck during convoy to Freetown?

"X" turret trained to starboard, outer barrels elevated.
Scapa Flow 1942?
