THE SOJOT COLLECTION

HERE'S SOME BUILDINGS...

SCURK 'EM

SCURK'em 2: KOHN PEDERSON FOX

AT&T Corporate Center, Competition AT&T CORPORATE CENTER, COMPETITION
Atlanta, Georgia.

This was the Kohn Pedersen Fox entry. It sure would make a nice 3x3 tile. I could not find a color photo, but suspect its probably a muted grey-pink granite with white trim.

Washington Mutual Tower WASHINGTON MUTUAL TOWER
Seattle, Washington.

This post-modernist tower by KPF uses the interaction of a circle and square to create an ideal form similar to Renaissance principles.

A magnificent SCURK drawing of this building by James Nissen can be found at James Nissen's SimCity 2000 Page. Earlier SCURK versions of this building can be found at Slug's SCURK Page and SCURK USA.

1250 Boulevard René-Lévesque Ouest 1250 BOULEVARD REN-LVESQUE OUEST
Montreal, Canada.

This forty-seven story office building by KPF is located in the western part of the central business district of the island city of Montreal. The sharply pointing finial shading device and the antenna make a nice pair. We need to see more modern Canadian SCURK!

Surprise! Its seems this one has been SCURKed long before I even posted its image. A beautiful version by prolific new artist Stephen McGlen can be found at Stephen's SCURK Homepage

Ameritrust Center AMERITRUST CENTER
Cleveland, Ohio.

KPF's proposed sixty-story bank headquarters and hotel complex was intended to rise next to Public Square in Clevelands historic center. It would make a nice 4x4 tile.

Rockefeller Plaza West ROCKEFELLER PLAZA WEST
New York, New York.

KPF designed this fifty-five story office building to face Seventh Avenue between 49th and 50th streets at Rockefeller Center's western edge.

Bank of the Southwest, Competition BANK OF THE SOUTHWEST, COMPETITION
Houston, Texas.

KPF's entry into the landmark 1982 skyscaper competition is a giant symmetrical tower topped by an extremely elaborate and complex steel-trellis crown.

Capitol Tower Place CAPITOL TOWER PLACE
Columbus, Ohio.

This design by Stubbins Associates is the proposed centerpiece of Columbus's Capitol Tower development project. Visit the Stubbins Associates online portfolio for more examples of their work.

With its bizarre insect-like antennas, this building is my favorite in this collection. I'm recycling this image because I just like it so much!
