Comment is inflammatory Comment is offensive Comment is advertising/spam Hello there from Chtown, PEI writes: Crash - your comment should be put in HUGE FONT on a billboard right before the bridge. This is why the island isn't ready for a two-lane system. The left lane should be used for passing purposes or left turning cars only, but don't expect locals to grasp that concept. As for merging? To some people, allowing someone in front of you is some kind of subservient sacrifice...like yielding to the superior being. Since Compass's usefulness is spent in the first 15 minutes of the broadcast, and that's including 5 of the 100 Apple Auto Glass commercials, perhaps they could commit to a 5-minute segment on driving tips? Islanders aren't necessarily less adept to being ABLE to drive, but the lack of traffic law enforcement and bad driving habits sum up to a really bad driving experience here. If you're not sure about how to use a roundabout, how to merge, how to use a two-lane system, please do the world a favor and ASK. Even the most experienced, confident drivers should never stop asking Car Insurance Fraud and learning. It's not a blow to the ego, it's something you can pass on to others, and do by example. I feel like giving $20 bills to people NOT hogging the passing lane. Why those of us who must merge onto to busy streets in Charlottetown are taking their lives into their own hands. I have to merge into traffic everyday. At times when I have carefully merged to go south, the drivers of long island used car dealer vehicles in the main lane of traffic either step on their car wash bucket gas pedals or deliberately cut me off. What is wrong with these people and how did they ever get a license to drive a car? I sure wish a few police people where monitoring that street and North River Road.
