first about us

We were married at Long Bay Auckland on January 21st 1996 The minister doing his stuff

When I first thought about marrying Anna, I wondered about the finance side of it (Anna was still at teachers collage) when a friend who had been married for just over a year said “that it is much cheaper for 2 to be living together than 1 flatting” (he was right)
Then we were given books to read.

The books were very good and I highly recommend them to all newly married  or engaged couples.

 Love making

Tim & Beverly’s book put it this way
“The art of mutually enjoyable lovemaking is not difficult to learn, neither is it automatic. No one is
a good lover by nature.....Yet no one need settle for a lifetime of sexual frustration.”
Other books were;
Hidden Keys of a Loving, Lasting Marriage : A Valuable Guide to Knowing, Understanding, and
Loving Each Other
                     by Gary Smalley

Both authors are very good and they both have other books to read

The act of Marriage  By Tim & Beverly LaHaye
This book was given to us when we announced our engagement. Marriage bok

Hidden Keys of a Loving, Lasting Marriage : A Valuable Guide to Knowing, Understanding, and
Loving Each Other
            by Gary Smalley

I highly recommend these books to every one. If you have other books that you think should be included
E-mail me and I will put them in.

We also went to a marriage Guidance course; the course was one night a week for 2 hours over 5
weeks with 6 other engaged couples and John and Taka who ran the the course; (they  go to
Auckland Elim church).  You should go on one of these courses. Not only do you find out what
other couples are thinking/doing, the married people tell you what to expect (which isn't always
what you expect). Most good churches (or marriage organisations) should be able to tell you where these sort of courses are
run, but if you cant find any E-mail me and I will find one in your niebourhood.
