Composite Report
For Yoko Ono & John Lennon

Chapter 1: Main Characteristics of You as a Couple

Composite Sun in the Twelfth House

Composite Sun in the twelfth house is a significant position, but it presents challenges that many people find difficult to deal with.

It indicates that through this relationship both of you will encounter aspects of your inner selves that you would normally keep hidden from yourselves as well as from others.

The most difficult result of this Sun placement is that it may make the relationship self-defeating for both of you, particularly if you are not completely honest with each other. Unless you disclose all secrets, they will cause one or both of you to behave in a way that will undermine not only the relationship but your own self-esteem as well.

In any personal relationship, this placement demands that you thoroughly search your innermost selves to understand how previously hidden psychological traits are operating within the relationship. This encounter will make each of you grow as individuals, and the growth it can bring about is more important than your survival as a couple.

Composite Sun Square Mars:

The two of you get fired up when you are together, and inevitably there will be hostilities and disagreements if you do not direct all of this energy into a common goal. Physical activities, like sports or demanding physical work, are good outlets for you as a duo.

Intense rivalry and competition are ongoing issues between you, even if you are both fairly unaggressive, cooperative people. Angry confrontations over minor matters mask other, deeper concerns - such as who is dominant, and the need to feel important and powerful in the relationship. You over-use force and heroics when you are together. However, when you channel all of this energy into a good cause, you are a dynamic, energetic vital team.

Composite Moon in the Twelfth House

The composite Moon in the twelfth house requires the two of you to do a great deal of work that most couples are unwilling to do.

With this house position of the Moon, the greatest danger is emotional dishonesty at the very least and sometimes open and outright dishonesty.

The need here is for both of you to plunge into the relationship, find out the truth of what is going on, and face it squarely and honestly.

If you don't seek out the truth, your relationship will give you the feeling that you have been defeated in life by forces you don't understand. And when the repressed feelings finally do emerge, they will explode destructively. If, however, these feelings gradually emerge from an honest search for understanding, the wisdom you gain will make you much wiser than people who haven't had to face such a challenge.

Composite Moon Conjunct Ascendant

The conjunction of composite Moon and Ascendant signifies a relationship in which your emotions and feelings play a very prominent role. Therefore, this aspect is more favorable to a personal relationship than to a professional one.

In a personal relationship the Moon close to the composite Ascendant signifies that the two of you can achieve a depth of shared feeling that will be the envy of many other couples.

Of course, this attribute can also be a problem. It may prevent you from seeing each other clearly at those times when a certain degree of objectivity and detachment are called for. During periods of stress in the relationship, you may get so wrapped up in your emotions that neither of you is capable of sorting out who is responsible for what.

This could be a difficult aspect, but if other indications are good, it can also be an excellent aspect.

Composite Moon Conjunct Mercury:

Through your relationship with one another, and especially your intimate conversations, both of you will understand your past histories, your emotions, and your own inner lives much more clearly. Being in one another's presence evokes in both of you the desire to confide, to tell your stories, to speak about your private selves. You are able to talk for hours. There is often a sentimental or nostalgic tone to your discussions. Visiting old childhood haunts together, studying your family trees, looking at and discussing old photographs, describing your dreams to each other, talking about your children or your mate or parents - this type of sharing will be a crucial aspect of your bond. Even if you are not the sort of person who discusses feelings or readily confides in others, you'll find that with this particular person, you can and will. You make good counselors for one another.

At times you may feel that your discussions are too subjective, or always become personal even when the initial topic is broad and rather impersonal. For the two or you, emotional attitudes and feelings will always color your communication. This is an essential part of the purpose of your relationship: examining feelings and the past in order to understand them.

Composite Moon Opposition Jupiter:

The opposition of the composite Moon and composite Jupiter may bring the two of you together even though you are quite different, but it also provides the energy for you to adjust to each other. An opposition is an active aspect, which means that the two of you will have to be active together. Sometimes with this aspect there is a compulsion to be "happy-go-lucky" all the time. You may be reluctant to deal with serious concerns that you should be facing together. Composite Moon Trine Uranus:

An unusually open, non-possessive, emotionally liberating relationship will naturally develop between you. Because you do not try to own one another, or to live up to some preconceived idea of how you should be together, you will both be free to express your true impulses and desires. The more you encourage one another to be free, the closer you will feel. One of the purposes of your relationship is to allow you both to experience being connected in a true friendship which is not restrictive, binding, or possessive.

Composite Mercury in the Twelfth House

Composite Mercury in the twelfth house indicates that the two of you will do much thinking and talking about the inner psychological aspects of your relationship. There will be considerable mental probing of yourselves and each other. You will try to work out whatever problems you have within the relationship without appealing to outsiders.

However, ceaseless probing into each other's minds can degenerate into playing games with each other's emotions. Be careful how you use the understandings you gain. If you use them to manipulate each other, you are likely to unleash forces that can undo the relationship. In particular, you may stop communicating and start keeping everything secret from each other.

Composite Mercury Conjunct Ascendant

The conjunction of composite Mercury and Ascendant signifies a relationship in which communication and shared ideas are very important.

Fortunately, you are not likely to fall into rigid patterns of behavior in this relationship. The two of you will seek as many varied experiences as possible, but you will tend not to go into any of them very deeply.

Shallowness is the most negative characteristic of Mercury. Although you may cover a lot of ground in your experiences together, you often only skim the surface. Do not let superficiality deprive the two of you of deep emotional experiences together.

Composite Mercury Opposition Jupiter

The opposition of composite Mercury and Jupiter is one of the less difficult oppositions. Like all the aspects between Mercury and Jupiter, it broadens your consciousness, making both of you more tolerant and broadminded, especially about faults in each other that might otherwise be sources of disagreement.

One effect of this aspect that you should watch for, however, is that you may get into ventures that are simply too big or grandiose to be realized. This is especially fatal in a business or professional relationship.

Another area of possible difficulty is that you may expect too much of the relationship. Although you are tolerant of each other, you expect to accomplish things that cannot be accomplished in any relationship. Try to keep your expectations down to earth.

Composite Mercury Trine Uranus:

Experimenting with new ideas and innovative or unconventional approaches, is part of your purpose together. As a couple, you could teach or in other ways disseminate ideas which are advanced, state-of-the-art, highly original, or "alternative".

The intellectual atmosphere between you is lively and inspiring, and no matter what else is happening in your relationship, you are good for one another in this way.

Chapter2: Love and Sex

Composite Venus in the Eleventh House

Composite Venus in the eleventh house is one of the best placements for an intimate personal relationship. The eleventh is the house of friendship, and at the very least, Venus here will help to make you friends.

This position can also be a sign of a deep love affair.

Venus here is a good indication that the two of you have harmonious ideals. It can also mean that you idealize either the feeling of love or your relationship, which can be a problem if either of you is prone to unrealistic attitudes about feelings. But if both of you are reasonably realistic about yourselves, you will experience this relationship as something beautiful and ideal.

Composite Venus Sextile Mars:

Sexual harmony and compatibility, and a healthy balance between giving and receiving, are much of what this relationship is about. One of the blessings between the two of you is that each of you can give without feeling diminished or depleted.
Being together gives you energy, sparks your vitality and creativity on many levels (in addition to the physical, sexual one). This is destined to be a fulfilling, mutually satisfying love, and keeping the love fresh and alive will not require a lot of effort, either!

Composite Venus Trine Jupiter

Venus trine Jupiter in the composite chart is one of the aspects that really helps to make a relationship successful, particularly a personal one. In fact, a professional association is very likely to become personal as well. The Venus- Jupiter trine is a strong indication of a warm, affectionate feeling between you.

You will find that the relationship will help both of you grow as individuals, for it continually brings out your best qualities. There is a feeling of ease and peacefulness with this aspect. Neither of you seems to make unreasonable demands upon the other, but that can sometimes present another problem. If one of you must make some really important changes, the other may be reluctant to raise the issue for fear of disturbing the peaceful atmosphere.

Nevertheless, this is a relationship in which you will feel that you can relax and be yourself with your partner.

Composite Mars in the Ninth House

Composite Mars in the ninth, the house of the higher mind and long journeys, indicates a strong involvement with ideas, beliefs, and philosophies of life in this relationship. If your ideas and attitudes toward life are compatible, you will work very hard together to protect them, and you will try to convince others of the rightness of what you are doing.

If your attitudes are not compatible, you will waste a lot of energy trying to convince each other of them, causing much conflict in the process. You are likely to react to opposition almost as if your lives were in danger. Be careful of this and try to expand your views so that they can encompass those of other people.

This placement of Mars may also indicate that the two of you will do some work together that involves traveling over long distances. Or it can mean working together in some academic or intellectual field.

Composite Mars Trine Ascendant

The trine of composite Mars and Ascendant is a good sign that you are able to express yourselves to each other without having to make compromises. This is a relationship in which the two of you are able to be yourselves and express your egos fully and without reserve in each other's presence. Also, you work well as a team.

This relationship will arouse in the two of you a great deal of physical energy that must find some form of expression. You should not sit around when you are together; instead you should be doing something. If this is a business or professional relationship or if you have other work to do, the energies of Mars will be especially favorable. This relationship signifies that as a couple you will achieve a more perfect self-expression than either of you could experience in relationships with others.

Composite Venus Trine Saturn:

This relationship has excellent prospects for longevity and permanent friendship. Ardor and high romance may or may not be included, but certainly constancy of feeling, commitment, and building something valuable together over time will be.

The only drawback to this quality of steadiness which permeates your bond is a tendency to take one another for granted and to rely on each other in an unconscious way. You may forget to celebrate your love or to warmly show your appreciation for your partner, simply because they are always there, and you expect they always will be.

As a couple, you two are able to successfully balance pleasure needs with practical considerations. You may appear rather subdued or frugal to other people, either in the way you spend money or the way you show love for one another. But if you are not seeking a flamboyant love affair, this quieter love may suit you both just fine.

Composite Mars Opposition Saturn:

In addition to whatever joys this relationship holds, there will be considerable frustration as well. Part of the purpose of your being together is to help you both define what you really want - but this happens through being deprived of or denied it. One or both of you feels that you cannot do what you want, or that you are constantly being checked, watched, and judged. Either that, or as a couple you will feel that outside circumstances and forces work against you. Life may seem like a great strain, a constant battle, a grind, a struggle against overwhelming odds. A certain grimness and pessimism can get in the way of your joint achievements.

Inevitably, there will be a chronic, long-standing difficulty in this relationship which will require patience, forbearance, and persevering effort to overcome. It is important not to let an overall feeling of struggle and discouragement contaminate your entire relationship.

What do you want? How much do you want it? And, what are you willing to do for it? are questions that will face you two.

Chapter 3: Help and Strugles on Your Way of Growth as a Couple.

Composite Jupiter in the Seventh House

Jupiter in the seventh house of a composite chart is very favorable for most relationships. It means that the two of you are likely to feel that being together is your most important means of growth. You feel that you both can grow faster through the relationship than without it. In fact you probably idealize your relationship, but not to the extent that it becomes impossible to live up to the ideal.

Actually, the only possible problem with this placement is that under certain conditions one of you may demand more freedom than the other is willing to give. However, in such a situation, if the restrictive partner can give the other that freedom in some particular instance, it will work out all right.

You may demand high standards of behavior from each other, but you are also likely to get what you demand in that regard.

Composite Jupiter Opposition Ascendant

This aspect signifies that the two of you have come together as a team for mutual growth. This growth can happen in either or both of two distinct ways.

The first manifestation of the Jupiter energy is on the psychological and spiritual level. Here the position of Jupiter signifies that you will nurture and support each other through all kinds of adversity and that you will share in the high points of each other's life as well. Both of you will grow in awareness and understanding of yourselves and the world. No matter what happens to the relationship, you both will see it as a positive experience.

The second level of manifestation is material. This aspect signifies that your relationship is likely to be quite prosperous.

One of the most fortunate attributes of this relationship is that the two of you will give each other room to breathe. You do not find it necessary to be possessive, because you are basically confident about each other and about your feelings.

Composite Saturn in the Third House

Saturn in the third house of the composite chart indicates that the two of you must be careful not to fall into set patterns of thought in this relationship. For example, it can indicate that there is a real barrier to communication between you, because each of you is so locked into certain ways of thinking and communicating that you cannot loosen up and listen to what your partner is saying. Remember that it is always necessary to talk in the other person's language.

You must abandon any tendency to believe that your way of thinking is superior to your partner's, because that will only make communication more difficult.

Saturn in the third house also makes the two of you fond of structuring your immediate environment, a tendency that arises from the mental habits just discussed. Mental orderliness is reflected in the way you organize your world.

In a personal relationship, Saturn in the third can also give difficulty with relatives.

Composite Sun Square Saturn:

The necessity to get down to business, to work hard, and to be responsible adults is an essential aspect of your relationship. When the two of you are together a sense of heaviness, seriousness, purpose, or obligation weighs in on you, so it is not always pleasant to be around one another. You demand much - sometimes too much - of one another and of your relationship. One or both of you may become overly critical, oppressive, and restrictive toward the other. Financial hardships and burdens, difficult circumstances such as a chronic health problem, or other "battles" which require patience, endurance, forbearance, and toughness are also likely. Part of the purpose of this relationship is to develop these qualities within you both. While unlikely to be an easy relationship, it can be character-building and ultimately strengthening.

Composite Jupiter Trine Saturn

The trine of Jupiter and Saturn in the composite chart gives your relationship a steady quality that is quite enviable. You go on from day to day, avoiding most extremes of mood. You can depend on each other always being there. Both of you have the ability to accept each other for what you are and tolerate each other's foibles.

When you have to plan together for the future, you are equally careful without being overcautious. You act only after weighing all the factors, and you usually act at the right time, for your sense of timing together is excellent.

Regardless of the original goals of your relationship, if you take advantage of these abilities, you should be better able to ride out the difficult times than many other couples.

Chapter 4: Unpredictebility in your Relationship.

Composite Uranus in the Fifth House

When composite Uranus is in the fifth house, a relationship may have to take an unusual form in order to express itself fully.

If this is a love relationship or a marriage, you will probably find that you have to give each other a lot more freedom of movement than is customary in such cases. A love affair with this position may be better off if it does not become a marriage.

If you do decide to get married, you must give each other a great deal of freedom. For example, you must not let the marriage or the agreement between you become a barrier to other relationships. Yet the permission you give each other must be genuine.

Other kinds of relationships will experience this placement of Uranus as a desire to have fun and express yourselves in unusual ways. This, of course, may apply to a love relationship or marriage as well.

Composite Uranus Trine Ascendant

The trine of composite Uranus to Ascendant signifies a relationship that will be very stimulating to you both. It will help you establish a new orientation to the world around you. With each other, you will find freedom to express yourselves in new and different ways that you would never have dared before.

This relationship requires both of you to be flexible in your attitudes. If you cannot enjoy anything outside of an established routine, this is not likely to be a very happy relationship.

Assuming that you both are mentally flexible, as a couple you will be attracted to new ways of thinking that you might not have considered before; these attract you precisely because of their stimulating nature. In this relationship you absolutely cannot tolerate boredom, but that is not likely to be a problem.

Composite Uranus Trine Neptune

Uranus trine Neptune occurs very frequently in the charts of people born in the late 1930s and early 1940s. Its symbolic meaning is alternate states of consciousness. It was this age group that first became very much involved with LSD and the other psychedelic drugs and with the general issue of consciousness expansion.

In a relationship in which this aspect is prominently placed, the two of you will probably seek to explore new kinds of consciousness in the way you relate to each other. You may be interested in spiritual growth, mysticism, the occult, or other such phenomena.

Your relationship is likely to be unusually idealistic, especially since many of you have Neptune in Libra, the sign of relationships. You may experience it as a way of transcending the ordinary.
