Viet Nam has a great potential for ecological tourism because of the Annamite Chain?s spectacular

vistas and the tropical forests and exotic animals. The greatest tourist attractions are in Hanoi for not

only is it the capital it has many other attractions. To a lesser degree Ho Chi Minh City would also

be an excellent choice to view Vietnamese culture. The currency in Viet Nam is called the Dong.

The Dong comes in bank notes in the sizes of 200, 500, 1000, 2000, 5000, 10 000, 20 000, and

50 000. The value of the Dong in comparison to the American dollar has been plummeting. In 1989

one United States of America dollar was worth 3500 Dong, and in 1995 on American Dollar was

worth 11 000 Dong. The only places that a tourist can exchange travelers checks or use credit

cards are in major cities. Contrary to Cambodia, it is better to use Dong to pay your bills instead of
