Written as a comment on a poem decrying the sneaky attack by the Japanese
Pearl Harbour
Oh yes, that day of infamy
Where so many died unaware
That their trip to eternity
Was due to lies beyond compare.
Where those sworn to protect
The affairs of their own nation
Conspired together in secret
That vile and criminal oblation.
To get the country into a war
They said it wasn't their concern,
Men were herded to death's door
And allowed to die and burn.
So don't decry the distant foe
Nor lay the blame on the enemy
For those who killed 'em long ago
Spoke the same tongue as you and me.
