You approach a large reef, its very top piercing the water's surface with several feet of reef in the air! It is arrayed with coral and sponges in vibrant colors that you've never seen in any picture of a coral reef! Swimming all about it are large creatures that seem partly equine, but...not. You see their fins flash and watch two males wrestle, realizing that they are Hippocampi! On each creatures fin is a tag with its name, carved in bright golden letters on silver metal. You try to read them.....

The first ones you spy close enough are a family group, a Blue male and Rainbow-colored female with a small blue colt! The father blue's tage reads Ca'Nish and his son's reads Pia'Chi. You swim a little closer, careful not to frighten them, and read the beautiful female's: Zi'Fasma.

A Fusia female comes into view, followed closely by a gold male. He eems to be courting her, but she is only interested in finding a bite to eat, it seems. Some date! The female's tage flashes in the streams of light over the coral, reading Pu'Foria, and the golden male's reads Maz'Guimo. You leave them to their...sort of...date, and swim off toward the other creatures.....

A green female lounged by herslef, coushioned on a massive brain coral serving as a nice bed. She watches the others and yawns, curling up again to sleep, completely unaware of you...or just indifferent. You move closer to her than you have to the others before, and look at her tag, reading Ash'Wenwea before moving along to let her rest.

You round a corner in the reef and come face to face with a sunny orange male. You gasp, spurting bubbles, and whell backward while he simply stares at you. After a second, you stiffen up and remain still, trying to show that you are no threat. The male smiles! It is small and conspiratorial, and he approaches you. Your hear is beating a mile a minute, so fast you think it will burst from your very chest, as he whispers clearly through the waters, "I am On'Mauma. I am not worried, but the others will not want you here. I will not tell, but you must go now." With than, he swim quickely around the corner and you take over in the other direction, confused and excited by your close encounter with the exotic hippocampi!
