HYBRID CIVIC:
SUSPENSION AND BRAKES

Suspension consists of Ground Control height adjustable coil over kit with Eibach race springs rated at 375 lbs/in front, 350 lbs/in rear. They are mounted on a set of GAB "Super R" 4 way adjustabel shock absorbers. Settings for the shocks are stiff, stiffer, really stiff, and way too stiff! JDM/Type R style rear lower contrl arms were swapped in for the GABs, which were originally designed for the JDM market suspension.

Suspension Techniques front and rear swaybars were also added. These measure 19mm both front and rear and come with polyurethane bushings.

An Ingall's adjustable camber kit was installed at the rear. This allows better matching of the suspension settings between the front and rear tires.

The setup is easily "tunable" at the track. I can adjust the settings on the shocks to increase or decrease oversteer during a 30 second pit stop.

The entire front brake assembly was removed and integra GSR front brakes were installed in their place. The GSR brakes have a 10.3" rotor (vs. 9.5") and much bigger calipers. The civic master cylinder and brake booster was also swapped out for larger, integra units. While I still have drums on the rear, I plan to upgrade those to disks in the future.
