He was dressed casually, in a sports jacket and open shirt. The headwaiter smiled and immediately took him to a table near the window. Another waiter brought him the menu. He looked at it quickly but didn't order anything for lunch.

         A few minutes later, a woman in her mid-20s came in. She was wearing a simple but elegant dress under a plain, beige raincoat. She was tall and slim. As soon as he had seen her, the man stood up and motioned to her. She walked towards him. They looked at each other silently for a moment. The lady frowned while the man smiled, but he seemed afraid of her. There surely was something grave he was expecting her to say...
