Gundam
After more than 25 years, the Gundam franchise is still going strong. Although the franchise is gaining a fair amount of popularity in North America, Gundam seems like it's becoming part of Japan's culture.
No doubt Bandai is making huge money from the Gundam franchise mainly from its model kit line. These days, I lost interest in building Gundam model kits & purchasing them. It's mainly because most of the Gundams look alike. Just some modifications done here & there. Nevertheless, it's a lot of hard work & money for me since I paint them. Although I have built a lot of them, I'm still not good at the painting department.
