Introduction

Back in the time when Love Hina was very popular due to the anime show, a lot of Love Hina stuff was released.  EPOCH's C-Works SkyLuu Project was one of them.  It released six SkyLuv Projects in Love Hina series & was working with Kaiyodo.  Mitsune Konno is the forth figurine to be released.  When I first saw these figurines, I wanted them cause they looked cool.  At the time, I was too poor to afford them.  It was over years later that I brought some of them at J-Hobby in the discount bin.  I grabbed whatever SkyLuv Project figurines were left & Mitsune was one of them.

There is a Diamond version released in North America as well.  But, I don't think this was re-issued in Japan when the Diamond version became available.

Mitsune Konno in blister card package

Mitsune has a fair amount of accessories to create a scenery that's similar to her lifestyle.  Mitsune comes with five cans of beer, three bottles of sake, a pack of cigarettes, a speaker, a chair, two bricks, & a mug filled with beer.  Most of the accessories are small & can be easy to lose if you aren't careful with them.  Let's look at some details.

There isn't most detailing work on the accessories when you look at them.  Most of it is on the beer cans based on what I saw in the packaging.  I'm not sure how the sake bottles are.  The letterings are quite small & a bit hard to make out a bit.  The painting on the speaker has some very minor bleeding when you look up-close to it.  It's mainly the black area, nothing major.  As for the molding, not too bad really.  I couldn't find any molding problems in terms of thick lines, bumps, or holes.

As for the articulations on Mitsune, I have no idea how good it is.  Based on what I seen on the figurine, the head, arms,& legs are moveable.

The facial expression that Mitsune has really captures her character well & is very similar to the original anime design.  However, it seems that Mitsune is winking instead of her usual squinty eyes that most of us are used to seeing a lot.  But at least we get to have some variation of her eyes I guess

Overall Conclusion

I can't grade the SkyLuv Project Love Hina #4 Mitsune Konno figurine since she's still in her blister card.  I don't know how good the articulation is & the stability of it.  Plus, I sold it.

If you are looking for this Mitsune figurine, you would have to look hard to it.  Even though it's old & the price for it has dropped, it's not an easy find; especially if you are looking for the whole set.  This figurine use to come up a bit on online auctions in the past, but now it's virtually not there anymore.  I haven't seen this figurine for a long time now in a lot of stores.  That's including the Diamond version as well.  I'm not too sure what differences that the Diamond & Japanese version have.
