Hydroponics

Hydroponics on the stations is provided as a voluntary recreational persuit for all expeditioners that has positive benifits for all participants of the station.

It is thought the benifits of working in a warm and brightly lit room surrounded by greenery provides psychological benifit, particular for expeditioners over winter. In addition the produce grown by the facility supplements stored supplies with fresh supplies.
