ZZT

ZZT is an ancient, freeware ANSI game created by Tim Sweeney in 1991. While the actual game itself is nothing special, the nifty and relatively simple built-in editor, plus the huge following and countless high quality games fans have created for it have made it a classic.

To get a much better explanation, to download ZZT, or to download ZZT games, head over to z2, the main and best ZZT wobsite.

Upcoming

Project Rhombus - The second UG project (the first being Nevada Jones,) started by Surlent in 2008. It borrows the idea from Parallel of every member of the team creating boards without anyone else knowing what anybody is doing, then combining them all together in some random order.

It is stuck in development hell as of the past 5 years..

Algorithm - Silly RPG inspired by Zandor 12's (as-of-yet unreleased) Huh?. I am simultaneously working on remaking part 1 (see below) almost completely and making part 2, but progress is extremely slow due to laziness. Click here to see one of the boards from the original version and how the remade version looks.

Mustache IV: SE - The improved, finished version of Mustache IV, now with the British spelling. To be released before 2014 2015 begins ends.

Released

Santa's Lil' Helper - Viovisian Christmas game from early 2014 (Russian Christmas), and my first released game since 2009. Not all that long but it does showcase some previously unseen ZZT tricks.

Algorithm Part 1 - Part 1 of Algorithm, a silly Huh?-inspired RPG. Currently working on remaking it.

Mustache IV: The Fall of King Saturn - The final game in the Viovis-inspired Mustache series, and by far the best one. It features an actual plot, a hex edited ZZT executable that, among other things, transforms the player into a bear, etc.

C.L.A.U.D.E. - A trippy, Viovis-esque game about former ug member CSonicGo.

Garbage

Mustache III: Whiskers - I'm still not sure why I released this. Made it when I was getting bored of ZZT but still wanted to release one last game. Primarily made up of boards that got cut out of previous Mustache installments and other forever unreleased games of mine. Only here for reference..

Mustache II: Goatee - The sequel to Mustache. It carries on the tradition of Viovis/Zandor-inspired nonsensical humour, trippiness, and hideously outdated (2007!) ug references/memes. Not as bad as the prequel but still rather inferior to my later games.

Mustache - Trippy, heavily Viovis-inspired game. Was one of the first games I completed after my return to ZZT in 2006 so it pales in comparison to most of my later stuff.

The Night - The game I made for the Summer 2003 24HoZZT. I actually won up winning despite being disqualified the last time largely due to almost every other entry being a joke entry. It's a huge upgrade over my previous 24HoZZT, in the sense that being stabbed 5 times is better than being stabbed 8 times.

Music Fun - A "game" I made for Hercules' Spring 2003 24HoZZT and got disqualified for. My original game got corrupted so this was the terrible crap I slapped together at the last minute. The only positive point is that it is so irredeemably awful that it's somehow fun because of it.

Waterworld - My first ZZT game, also a contender for the worst ZZT game ever.
