USSVI Buffalo Base

Constitution and Bylaws Revisions
including
new amendment
for
Croaker Restoration Committee
formalization

( This site last updated 1350 -- 11 Feb 2003 )

This website will make available the current efforts to update USSVI Buffalo Base's organization to reflect changes over the years, and to incorporate the important task this group has taken on -- the restoration and maintenance of the ex-USS Croaker (SS/SSK 246), berthed at the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park in Buffalo, NY.

This page will be a Summary page and will provide links to the actual documents indicated. It will also provide POC information for any of the subjects included.

References:

2 -- The National USSVI Bylaws (updated as of Oct 2002)

3 -- The USSVI Buffalo Base Constitution and Bylaws (as of 1994)

Documents in revision:

1 -- Initial outline by Lyle Doody, November 2002 (20021106)(LD)

2 -- Initial project statement by Ken Nichols December 2002. (20021205)(KLN)

2 -- The USSVI Buffalo Base Constitution and Bylaws (CB) Revision

This page is/will be in a table format with each portion in a separate part of the table, and columnized, to keep proposed changes in correspondence with the original document and to make it easier to identify the areas requiring change.

Short comments will be indicated in the right hand column. Longer comments/recommended changes will contain a link in this column to the document (email/file/URL) containing the entire recommendation.

Comparison of update dates and the comment/recommendation dates will generally indicate if the inputs have been included in the last update.

2 -- The Croaker Restoration Committee (CRC) amendment to the USSVI Buffalo Base Constitution and Bylaws

Similar to the CB Revision format above, this is in a table format. However, since this is a completely new document, the comparisons between the columns will generally indicate progress on the generation of the amendment. The right hand column will contain comments/recommendations as above, and will additionally contain remarks from the author on anything else that may be pertinent (questions that need to be answered, special conditions that may need to be set up, etc.).

Notes:

1 -- If other reference documents are needed, please provide either the digital document or the link to it; and I'll include it. (20030210)(KLN)

2 -- I'm attempting to provide input forms in the documents, but tests todate haven't been satisfactory; so, at the moment, the best way to provide comments/recommendations is by emailing them to me. However, phone calls, letters, or whatever, can also be used. (20030210)(KLN)

3 -- This has been set up using Sun Microsystems programs, tested on Microsoft's IE 5.5, and Yahoo's free web hosting service. Any problems using this website, let me know. Contact info below. (20030210)(KLN)

4 -- My date format is perhaps unusual. It is (YYYYMMDD). The other tag above is my initials. And this is generally the way I'll attribute any comments/recommendations. (20030210)(KLN)

5 -- I haven't included any "Back to Top" or "Back to Homepage" or "Home" links in these pages. I'm relying on each to use their own browser's features to get around these pages, including the use of bookmarks where appropriate. (20030210)(KLN)
