He's heir to the Madison Hotel millions, but the only subjects Billy has studied lately are babes and booze. When Brian Madison informs his goofball son that he plans to turn over his Fortune 500 company to a scheming vice president, Billy makes the bet of his life: He's going back to school--grades 1 through 12--in 24 weeks! Can this bona fide blockhead win his father's respect, the family fortune and the love of his beautiful teacher?

Last week, Trans-7 played some movies starred by Adam Sandler, among which was "Billy Madison", produced in 1995 by Universal Pictures. The story was about a slacker who must repeat school time,  grades 1-12, in two months in order to inherit his father's estate.

The moment of this movie played on Trans-7 was a few days after the news about Paris Hilton's potential inheritance dramatically diminished after her grandfather Barron Hilton announced plans on 26 December 2007 to donate 97 percent of his $2.3 billion fortune to charity.

For me there was a dilemma about whether or not I should watch the movie "Billy Madison". If I watched the movie, it would be like my relationship with Paris Hilton was only about her wealth, while in fact from the beginning it should be about my treating Paris Hilton as my bridge to heaven, related with my consent to move to the eternity.

So my decision was not to watch the movie, in the worry that it could only create a bias related to my relationship with Paris Hilton. I should focus on treating Paris Hilton as my bridge to heaven, related with my consent to move to the eternity.

Louisiana elects first nonwhite governor since Reconstruction

updated 9:01 a.m. EDT,

Sun October 21, 2007

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (AP) U.S. Rep. Bobby Jindal became the nation's youngest governor and the first nonwhite to hold post in Louisiana since Reconstruction when he carried more than half the vote to defeat 11 opponents.

Jindal, the Republican 36-year-old son of Indian immigrants, had 53 percent with 625,036 votes with about 92 percent of the vote tallied. It was more than enough to win Saturday's election outright and avoid a November 17 runoff.

"My mom and dad came to this country in pursuit of the American dream. And guess what happened. They found the American Dream to be alive and well right here in Louisiana," he said to cheers and applause at his victory party.

His nearest competitors: Democrat Walter Boasso with 208,690 votes or 18 percent; Independent John Georges had 167,477 votes or 14 percent; Democrat Foster Campbell had

151,101 or 13 percent. Eight candidates divided the rest.

"I'm asking all of our supporters to get behind our new governor," Georges said in a concession speech.

The Oxford-educated Jindal had lost the governor's race four years ago to Gov. Kathleen Blanco. He won a congressional seat in conservative suburban New Orleans a year later but was widely believed to have his eye on the governor's mansion.

Campbell, a public service commissioner from Bossier Parish, had less money but ran on a singular plan: scrapping the state income tax on businesses and individuals and levying a new tax on oil and gas processed in Louisiana.

The race was one of the highest-spending in Louisiana history. Jindal alone raised $11 million, and Georges poured about $10 million of his personal wealth into his campaign war chest while Boasso plugged in nearly $5 million of his own cash.

Something interesting about the winning of Governor Bobby Jindal as the first non-white and for the first time a son of an immigrant from India to win the election of governor of Louisiana.

He won the election held on 20 October 2007 after my previous letter of "Solomon Islands Earthquake After 'Solomon's Path with No Political Part' " dated 20 September 2007 and "Opening of New Orleans Flood Gates" dated 4 October 2007.

His last name Jindal is like containing the word "Jin", an Indonesian word for "genie". Prophet Solomon was known for having the miracle of directing the genies to work for him. And Bobby Jindal won the election in Louisiana, the state that contains the city of New Orleans.

Moreover, his sworn in took place after my letter of "Not Passing the 25 December" dated 13 January 2008 about TV series of "Supernatural", about a sibling Dean and Sam Winchester who spend their life hunting bad genies.

Congratulation to governor Bobby Jindal.
