Photos taken May 2004. This store is located at the corner of El Camino and Mission in Carmichael, CA (near Sacramento). This is an interesting store. It is like a time capsule. From the old time radio station playing over the speaker, hand printed hot orange sale signage on the shelves, the pricing, and the old fashioned exterior, this store is a real throwback. I can't figure out what this store used to be. Maybe it has always been an independent. Whatever the case may be, it's a well preserved example of a store of days gone by. The prices are pretty darn good, too. |
