Botswana: Patricia's dream
Our planet has much to offer.
Traveling has given me the opportunity to confirm it.
Of all my travels, a camping safari in
Botswana has come the closest to my heart because it reminded me of how the world
was meant to be.
A camera is a magnificent tool that has
made it possible for me to share my experiences. Through these pages, I hope
you will enjoy seeing African through my eyes --and my lens.
With these pages I hope to take you with me
through Victoria Falls, Zimbawe, where my travel began, and then across
beautiful Botswana: Chobe National Park, the Okavango Delta, and the game
reserves of Savuti and Moremi.
You can also check out my other
African love: Namibia.
Yes,
seeing Africa is to many a dream come true.
The
reality, however, is that if we don't protect its wildlife and support the
development of its peoples, Africa will only be a memory to future generations.
Credit where it is deserved
A word of advice: anyone going to
Africa for the first time should seek guidance from an experienced travel
agency. I can't thank Dori at Acacia Travel enough for her
enthusiasm and wise suggestions. Want Acacia's web page? http://www.acaciatravel.com
My camping safari took me to two
beautiful countries: Zimbabwe and Botswana. I hope to explore more
of this continent in the future, and if you do too, please explore my favorite
Africa web sites: http://www.africam.com and http://www.wildnetafrica.com
The organizers in Botswana,
Crocodile Camps, and especially my guide, William Dikgosana, made this camping safari
one of the most unforgettable experiences in
my life. I can't wait to go back.
