Main Characters
Tenchi Masaki:
Tenchi Masaki is a normal highschool student...until a bunch of love sick women crash into his house. From then on his life can be explained as...chaotic. He is generally very calm, quiet, and modest. He is has black hair that is short, and he has a short little wannabe ponytail on the back of his hair. He is secretly the descendant of the emperor of Jurai, and a relation to Aieka. He spends most of his time taking care of the shrine, or at school. But when evil threatens to destroy the Earth, he is always there to protect it. His hobbies include running from the women who have taken over his life, some form martial arts from Jurai, and sweeping the ground in front of the shrine.
Ryoko:
Ryoko is one of the universe's most wanted space pirates. She's also a demon in the Tenchi Muyo series. She is said to be really old....as in hundreds maybe thousands of years, but despite her age she only appears to be in her 20's. She is very smart, though for what she lacks in brains she makes up for with her sassy, rough attitude. Ryoko is tall, has a sort of tail in the Tenchi Muyo series, and she has wild blue hair. Her eyes are gold, which only adds to her overall mischievous look. She has a MAJOR crush on Tenchi, and is always trying to get Aieka away from him. Ryoko is also the owner of Ryo-ohki, the cabbit/space-ship.
Aieka:
Aieka is the princess of the planet Jurai. She is always very prim and polite, though she can be a monster when she wants to be. Her looks, along with her soft voice, give her the appearance of a royal "sweety", though she is hardly sweet at all. Like Ryoko, Aieka is in love with Tenchi, who is also one of the descendants of the royal Juraien family. She says that they were meant to be together, which gets on Ryoko's nerves. Her mortal enemy is Ryoko. Aieka crash landed on Earth in the Tenchi Muyo series, but was only taking a vacation in the Tenchi Universe series. She is not terribly tall, has purple-red hair that is neatly pulled back, and is slim.
Washu:
Washu is: "the universe's greatest scientist!" as her little puppets would say. She is a scientist who , in all of the series, is said to have created Ryoko. She is secretly hundreds of years old, but changed her molecular structure so that she would forever look like a child. When she was a young woman, she had a baby. But later her husband took the baby and left....which mentally scars Washu. (my favorite episode is the one with Tenchi's baby cousin). I think that Washu is my favorite character, just because she is good natured and goofy. She is short, has reddish-pinkish-orangish hair that resembles a crab, and green eyes. She created an inter-dimensional time portal in Tenchi's closet that led to her office, and even rearranged the mollecular structure of the girl's bathroom! Her nickname is "little Washu".
Sasami:
Sasami is the younger sister of Aieka, and is only about six or seven years old. She is also a princess of the planet Jurai, but not as important as Aieka. In the Tenchi Muyo series she comes to Earth to look for her sister, but then decides to stay. She is short, has pink eyes, and bright blue hair. She is always very giddy and happy, and generally acts like a little girl. Sasami too likes Tenchi, but in a different way than the other ladies do. She is a master chef, and shares a special bond with Ryo-ohki the cabbit.
Mihoshi:
Mihoshi is the typical, bubble-headed blonde that we always hear about in blonde jokes. She is a space detective, and works with Kihone in the Tenchi Universe series (Kihone does not exist in the Tenchi Muyo series). She is tan, blonde, and has overly big eyes. She is also very thin....which makes her the target of many guys. However, her heart belongs to Tenchi. In all of the series Mihoshi usually ends up crash landing in Tenchi's house.
Kihone:
Not much is known about Kihone, besides the fact the she is partners with Mihoshi in the Space Police Agency. She actually hates Mihoshi, and would prefer if she were dead, but she doesn't ever tell this to Mihoshi. Kihone blames her life's troubles on her partner, and is in-fact an exact opposite of her: she is good at her job, serious, and practical. Kihone comes to the "Tenchi family" when looking for the missing Mihoshi. Her partner convinces her to stay, and eventually they both get asigned the job of patrolling Earth. Kihone is tall, has flat, dark blue hair that is tied off with a gold wring, and is slim.
Ryo-ohki the cabbit/space-ship:
The small cabbit (half cat/half rabbit) was created after Ryoko's original ship was destroyed. She was made out of a rabbit and Tenchi's cat, Chibi. Her absolute passion is carrots, which shows her rabbit side, and at one point she devours the whole supply of carrots in the entire house! She is capable of transforming into a space-ship when needed, and in the Tenchi in Tokyo series, she has the ability to turn into a pink, rabbit shaped robot. Ryo-ohki can also take on a sort of human form. Her cat-like human form was created when she joined with one of Washu's blobs (I won't go into that, though). Ryo-ohki, though technically Ryoko's, seems to prefer being around Sasami more than anyone. She is the size of a kitten, has half cat/half rabbit ears, big eyes, brown fur, and a cat-like meow.
