Activity Suggestions for Families:

1.  Learn about basic tools around the house and how to use
     them properly.
2.  Learn to cook a simple meal.
3.  Make candy.
4.  Make cookies.
5.  Cook a meal outdoors.

6.  Make a kite and fly it.
7.  Learn to sew on a button.
8.  Make an address sign for the front of your house.
9.  Make tree ornaments or other decorations out of dough.
10.  Make some butter using a churn.
11.  Make silhouette drawings of your family.
12.  Make a greeting card and send it to your Tiger Cub partner.

Activity Suggestions for Your Tiger Cub Den:

1.  Make hand puppets and hold a puppet show.
2.  Hold a finger painting night with everyone helping to make a giant finger painting.
3.  Make musical instruments and have a sing-along play-along.
4.  Make ice cream and have an ice-cream social.
5.  Make some kind of gift for someone else in your family.
6.  Bring along cookies and candy you have made, and have a party at your Tiger Cub meeting.
7.  Have a den cookout.

Activity Suggestions for Family:

1.  Organize a family housekeeping schedule, with everyone taking on
     a job.
2.  Clean up the attic, basement, closet, or yard.  Make it a family party.
3.  Discuss the family budget and finances.
4.  Discuss the benefits of personal grooming -- clean clothes, shoes
     shined, hair combed, fingernails cleaned, etc.

5.  Visit the oldest house in your community.
6.  Discuss the different kinds of housing people have lived in at one time or another through
      the ages.

Activity Suggestions for Your Tiger Cub Den:

1.  Make holiday decorations.
2.  Hold a combined garage sale and use the profits for a den outing.
3.  Organize an aluminum can, glass, and paper recycling program.
4.  Volunteer to clean up a city or state park, then hold a den picnic in that park.
5.  Invite someone from the zoo or from the high school biology department to give a talk
     on the grooming and housekeeping habits of animals.
6.  Plan a program or project of your own.

Activity Suggestions for Families:

1.  Learn a new board game together.
2.  Have family tournaments in chess, checkers, or marbles.
3.  Make paper airplanes and hold races.
4.  Make up a game that you can use while traveling.
5.  Put together a jigsaw puzzle, one that the whole family can take part in.
6.  Learn some magic tricks and perform them for the family.

Activity Suggestions for Your Tiger Cub Den:

1.  Hold a masquerade party with everyone wearing a homemade costume or mask.
2.  Hold an aerospace day where you have miniature balloon races, and a paper airplane
     show and derby.
3.  Play some noncompetitive games.
4.  Hold a magic show.
5.  Have a families team game.
6.  Go visit a hot-air balloon event, and have a picnic while you're there.
7.  Have a board games tournament.
8.  Make jigsaw puzzles and trade them with one another.
