Pulsar Dyno Sheets

kW figures @ the wheels

1.

This was the first time on the dyno for the turbo conversion. It still had the standard T25 turbo and the 2.25" exhaust (hence all the torque) from the 1.8ltr still on there and running on a low unknown boost.

2.

This is a year later with the bigger T28 turbo and the 3" straight through exhaust on....and yes, it did make LESS than before.. (very disappointing as it feels faster). As I have no boost gauge we tested the boost level while on the dyno.....it was at 6lbs! problem found. So a boost controller will fix this!. My alternator seized while on the dyno too....that got replaced the following week along with the fuel pump, water pump, radiator and boost controller going in...bye bye $$$$$$$$$$$.

3.

This is the current dyno sheet....154kW @ wheels (200kW flywheel). The only difference from the 118kW run is the added boost controller to up boost to 14lbs......I'm really happy with the current power so it will probably stay at this level for a while.....and maybe not!

4.

Sweeeeeeeet, this is getting better and better, this time it was a peak figure of 168.38kW @ the front wheels, the mods from the last run are 11mm HT leads and a modified Falcon XR6 Air flow meter. The AFM is making the car idle really low which makes it a bitch in traffic, but I'm getting over 200 extra kms from a tank of gas....... I think I'll have to get it chipped and iron out a few of the bugs, that should unleash a few more kW's too!
