After one of the largest open auditions in the theater's history, M.P.T.G cast their fall production, The Sound of Music. The talented and diverse cast, pulled from over 50 auditioners, will begin rehearsal this Friday. This is the Kevin McSweeney's second attempt at mounting a Rogers and Hammerstien production, and he feels confident in both the stage crew and the cast, many of whom are newcomers to the M.P.T.G. stage.
As well as newcomers to M.P.T.G.'s stage, this production features three new members to the M.P.T.G production Staff. The music department of the show will be headed by Dan Riley and Abby Girdauskas. Dan will be teaching much of the vocals while Abby puts together the orchestra. Lauren Cronin will also be taking on a new role on the Production team as the new crew chief, and Jalinda Wilson will be returning as the costume designer and coordinator.

The Sound of Music runs November 8 - 10 and 15 - 17. Performances will begin at 7:30 and the house opens at 7:00. Information concerning ticket price and purchasing will be forthcoming.
