Sarah in Regina: April 6

I must confess, I am a newcomer to the Sarah Harmer love-fest, but I'm hooked now! I saw Sarah play at the Exchange in Regina, and I was blown away! I am amazed at the level of musicianship of her band, and impressed by the varied textures they were able to create with only a drummer/guitarist and bass/cello player. Sarah's voice was a miracle: every bit as wonderful as on the CD. She played lots of songs from the new CD, as well as a good variety of older material, with a few covers mixed in. One of the many highlights was a gorgeous rendition of "Trouble in the Fields", which had this prairie audience captivated. As for the wardrobe report: jeans and a red T-shirt, for which she thanked the guys in the opening band who provided it. (time to do laundry, she explained!)
This show was perfect in every way; everyone in the house was treated to a memorable night.
