| I used to be a rabid Kairi-hater. I seriously used to hate every aspect for her for absolutely no reason other than she could be occasionally annoying and she was Sora's object of affection. But then I thought about it for a while, and I figured out that Kairi is actually a pretty cool character. Sure she's annoying once in a while and has an abnormally large head, but beyond that there's really not much to dislike about her. I decided that she was a much better character than what most fanfic authors and such make her out to be. I mean, think about it. She's only fourteen (the same age I was when the game came out) and yet she's facing all these dangers and perils for her friends. BIG-ASS SPOILER!! DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT BEATEN THE GAME YET!! LALALALALALA!!! In Hollow Bastion, after Sora gave up his heart to save her, she knew that she couldn't do anything but she still perservered, with the knowledge that she probably wouldn't get out of there alive. And when she found Sora in his heartless form, she risked her life to protect him. And even after all that she still was the same happy and optimistic Kairi from the beginning of the game. That girl has a lot of guts, I tell you. And being the same age as she is, I can safely say that if I were in her position I don't think I could have been nearly as strong or as brave as she was. She's pretty admirable when it comes down to it. So, that's why I drew this picture, to show her courage and determination in the face of darkness and defeat. |
