Nadesico's Captain. She is often very ditzy and emotional, but
there is a excellent, if eccentric tactician in her. She and Akito
spent part of there childhood together on Utopia Colony on Mars until
Yurika and her family moved back to Earth. She is infatuated with
Akito and often follows him around the ship.

| Ruri is the ships
computer expert. Ruri is the youngest member of the Nadesico's
crew, she is also about the most mature member of the crew. She was
raised by her "Guardians" to be very intelligent, they didn't
see it necessary to teach her all of the human eccentricities such as
happiness and emotions. Despite this she has found her own unique
and special ways of expressing herself and letting others know her opinions
and feelings.

| All Akito wanted to
be was a great cook. There was a big problem with that though, every time
he herd the sounds of war he would begin shaking uncontrollably and
screaming, people thinking that he was supposed to be a pilot (because
he has a pilot's interface on his hand) defiantly didn't help matters.
But through a chance run-in with Yurika he may just get his chance to
follow his dreams, if he can set aside the past that is haunting him.

calls it the "True name of his soul" or something like that.

which Akito met when he was last on Mars, just as the Jovian's were
attacking. The last he saw of her was an explosion in which he
thought she was killed, immediately afterwards he blacked out and woke
up on Earth. She was actually not killed, but her apparent death
still haunts Akito since he is not aware of this.
