DENMARK
Most of the time of my short stay in Denmark was spent in Copenhagen, the capital. It's a very compact city, with a beautiful downtown area full of old buildings, shops, museums, and the usual tourist attractions. My favorite area is the one pictured just to the left and below. It's a small street lined with cafes on one side and a canal on the other.
On the outskirts of town are two world-famous sites. The statue is based on The Little Mermaid, written by Hans Christian Andersen. The castle is the location of the fictional character Hamlet. But I was there promarily to visit a friend for a few days.
