WuBaDang Productions was formed in 2000 with the goal of establishing a niche in the tight knit dance music market that existed in Albany, New York. In one area of the business, promotion companies such as Double Impact and Y2K were setting the standard for event production as well as solidifying their positions at the top through perseverance and longevity. By contrast, DJ crews such as Audio Underground and Intellectual Property represented an artist centric method of event promotion. Both groups consistently rocked local events as well as represented the Albany style on the regional, national, and international level. It was these companies and crews that were viewed as sources of inspiration and motivation in the creation of WuBaDang productions. 

The first WuBaDang event, "Laced", boasted a stellar line-up of local talent. The highlight of the evening was a 2x4 battle between two of Albany's techno forefathers: DJ Dames and Cyrax. The event was a success and the first step in a journey that has yet to meet its destination. 

On June 15th 2001, WuBaDang Productions promoted its largest event, "Fate". The event was not only a fundraiser but also a tribute to the tenacity and comradeship shown by those affected by the tragic fire that destroyed the Audio Underground record store as well as DJ Shaman's apartment the previous April. The bill featured world-renowned talent DJ's Micro and X-Dream and a slew of local and regional DJ's. The night was blessed with an unbelievable vibe that can only be accredited to a combination of sweat, tears and love for the true essence of the scene. 

Since then, WuBaDang Productions has organized and promoted weekly and monthly events in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (Shangri-La) and Orlando, Florida (Penetration).
