*made landfall near La Pesca, Mexico, 30 miles south of Brownsville, Texas
*caused heavy rains and flooding in Mexico

Tropical Storm Beryl was the second named storm, and the first to make landfall during the 2000 Atlantic Hurricane Season. Forming in the very warm waters in the Gulf of Mexico, Beryl then quickly moved northwestward into the Northern Mexico coast.
