Growing up as an undisciplined "rich boy", Zell joined the Balamb Military Academy at the ripe age of 13 to follow in his grandfather's footsteps as a proud and powerful soldier. His honor and integrity fit his military ideals like a glove. Though he may be short tempered, Zell does possess a thick sense-of-humor. Through his rough attitude and stagnant experience, Zell is a martial arts master and powerful warrior.

Zell is one hyperactive party member. A person who doesn't think matters through, he is known to act on impulse rather than reasoning. At heart however, he is an honest and dedicated young man. He may look like just your average school yard bully, but he's the one who always gets picked on.

My own description of Zell's combat expertise
Zell takes himself to seriously. He really knows how to handle his fists. He equips a pair of steel-knuckle Gloves. He delivers hard lefts and rights to his opponents. His limit breaks are performed by the skills learned from a magazine. The skills must be inputted during the Duel limit break sequence before the given time runs out. Every skill input performs an attack.

Gloves

Gloves are weapons equipped by Final Fantasy monks. Although Zell considered them as part of his body.

Duel

Zell's limit breaks are learned from a magazine called Combat King. The skills must be inputted during the Duel limit break sequence before the time runs out. A finishing move can be inputted when you have made a right combination of attacks.
