LEGALIZATION
OF DOCUMENTS
All documents issued by barbadian national authorities, must be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affaires & Foreign Trade of Barbados,  before being presented to the Consular Section of the Embassy.

This legalization procedure is carried out in order for the documents to have legal effects in Venezuela.

As of March 16th, 1999, Venezuela is a part of "The Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents" of the 5th of October 1961. The Convention abolishes the requirement of diplomatic and consular legalization for public documents originating in one Convention country (Barbados) and intended for use in another Convention country (Venezuela).
