SPACE PIRATE CAPTAIN HARLOCK
Captain Harlock was first published in 1953 by the Japanese manga artist Leiji Matsumoto. This swashbuckler has an illustrious history. His ship the Deathshadow has traveled its way through many a yarn. In addition to the various manga publications there has been a 42 episode television series (Uchuu Kaizoku Captain Harlock), a feature film (Arcadia of My Youth), Original Animation Videos & DVDs (Der Ring des Nibelungen: Gotterdamerung), and guest appearances in one of Matsumoto's other creations, Galaxy Express 999.
Captain Harlock is joined in his adventures by the brilliant engineer Tochiro, the lovely and deadly pirate Queen Emeraldas, the sexy cyborg LaMime, other assorted characters and a crew who is utterly devoted to him.
