Biesecker & Asenath Harper
Hiram Biesecker was born in 1843 Allenville, Adams Co. PA and
died in 1939.
Hiram married Asenath August 03, 1870
Asenath " Cenitha" Harper the daughter of William
W. Harper and Sarah Wright was born December 14, 1854 and
died September 04, 1921.
Hiram was a Dutchman and drove an express wagon from Allenville
Pennsylvania to Philadelphia
At age six (abt 1849) Hiram came with his parents by covered wagon to
Colburn, Indiana.. He could not speak English (spoke Dutch). When he was
18 he enlisted in the CIVIL WAR. After serving his time he and a friend,
carrying axes, came to Illinois. In Illinois he met the girl that he
married. They made their home in Monticello, IL.
At the age of 90 he went to Gettysburg to a meeting of old soldiers.
His son Hi (Hiram) went with him.
