People often have lucky numbers that bring them luck. Picking the numbers 3, 7 and 9 and something magical could happen. But whatever you do don't wish on number 13 - it is believed to the unluckiest number all.
Friday the 13th is believed to be a day clouded with bad luck for all.
Wearing red, green or yellow when you wish, and you could be in trouble! But wish on blue or white and your wish could come true. Blue is one of the luckiest colours of all.

Faeries can use their magic to make wishes come true but beware for they like to play tricks, too.
Wizards like Merlin were very powerful and could grant any wish. Stories tell of white witches (good) and black witches (bad) who could grant wishes. I would ask a white witch though!
Stories will also tell of lamps and bottles washed up on shore. If you were to find one you should rub it, and a genie would emerge who had to grant you three wishes.
