It was one day or night in November 2002 when Tuomas from Finland got the idea. That idea was to start a zine. There are so many bands who deserve more attention than they are receiving. It would be cool to write about and help promote the bands we like.

Because of financial reasons, Face Up To It would become a webzine (though Tuomas is studying to become a printer, it just wasn't praticle to create a hard copy zine). This would also allow people from all over the world to view FUTI's content for free. Since he didn�t know how to build web pages, Tuomas asked his American friend, Dora (who runs several sites on the web), to do the zine with him.

A little while after this, Tuomas asked his cousin, Juhani, to join the FUTI staff as well.

Then came time for a name. The name Face Up To It was taken from a Warzone song. We had a couple other name suggestions, but we thought this one had the most punch.

Our family continued to grow when in August of 2003 Tommi joined the Face Up To It staff.

Just a little side note: We later found out that there is a sXe band from France called �Face Up To It,� but we figured it wouldn�t be too big of a deal if we kept the name anyway. We have still never heard any of Face Up To It's music.

Our History is short, but this is because our story has just begun...
