Stiff Little Fingers: Anthology (EMI)

By Tommi Lindqvist

This is triple CD, 55 song, collection. I didn't even know it was released before I saw it in the library. Luckily I didn't buy this, it's not worth the 30 dollar price. I knew most of the songs from the first CD which covers 1976 to 1982 (about). They still, after 25 years, sound good. The second CD has songs from 1983 on and I find them boring eighties british pop/rock music. The third CD is a live recording from the Brixton Academy in London. The setlist is ok, I guess, but they played the songs slower than they are on the albums isn't my idea of energy at all.

The package is shit (because it is an EMI release), some liner notes about the original albums by some record company executive tosser. If you want this, steal it, or better yet, get it from the library. Instead of buying this, buy the first two SLF LP's.
