How can I tell if I have a boy or a girl hamster?

Look at the pictures above. In both pictures the MALE is on the LEFT and the FEMALE is on the RIGHT. The picture on the left shows the male and female hamster exactly as you would see them. The picture on the right has the male and female parts circled. Notice how far apart the male's parts are. If you look at the female her parts are touching. A female will have what looks like an oval circle on top (if looking at her with head facing up and tail facing down with her on her back). Directly below this oval with no space are two smaller bumps or circles that touch right next to each other. This is what you would see when looking at your female hamster. Males, even when young, have a very defined space between their bottom (anus) and male organ. The best age to sex baby dwarfs is 4 weeks. Before this time they are too small and squirmy to look very easily and the space on the male is not well defined.
