The French Riviera

The French Riviera benefits from a Mediterranean climate, characterised by exceptional sunshine for 300 days a year. Mild temperatures during the winter make it a very popular winter destination as well.

Nice is the perfect location to explore the beautiful coastline of the French Riviera, as it lies right in the middle of the most charming towns and villages of the Cote d'Azur. You will be in Cannes and Monaco within 30 minutes, and the Italian border is only a 45 minute drive away. So when you are in Nice, why not make a little day trip to Italy?

Nice is the capital of the French Riviera and definitely one of the most popular places on the Cote d'Azur as it has so many things to offer. Enjoy your coffee and croisant in the morning on the local market place Course Saleya, a swim at the beach, have aperitifs and dinner at one of the many outside restaurants and finish the night off in one of the many bars offering a rich night-life.

Monaco & Monte Carlo
Famous for the yearly Grand Prix Formula 1 race, it offers a great day trip from nice as it only 15 minutes away by train. Things to do:  visit the impressive palace of the Prince of Monaco; gamble in one of the world's most famous casinos; look around at the Maritime Museum and bask in the luxurious atmostphere that Monaco has to offer.

Cannes
Loved for its shops and of course the festival du Film, it attracts the rich and famous from around the world. A day trip for Cannes to the small islands in front of is also worthwile.

Antibes & Juan les Pins
In between Cannes and Nice, and only 20 minutes away from Nice, you will find amazing white sandy beaches and some of the most beautiful views at the Cote d'Azur. Antibes is known for its narrow streets, charming outside restaurants, the Picasso Museum and the amazing yachts in the harbour.
