This model started as a Campbell Ayers Chairs kit, which was designed to be made from cardboard sheathed in corrugated tin sheets. I copied the cardboard sides in scribed wood and made it a wood structure. Dormer windows on the lower level were left off.
The wind turbines on the roof actually turn when the modules are on display. I salvaged an operating display from a local camera shop and adapted it to turn the turbines. The motor is operated by two D cell batteries under the module.
The firm is named after local modeling friend Paul Bustard. |
