I will continue to contact all my elected officials, whenever I think they are subverting our Freedoms as American citizens....
Let me explain. The same Liberal ideas and policies used to deny citizens their Liberties, Rights, and Freedoms are applied to Collectible Cars. Militant environmental wackos think every vehicle that is not a 50 MPG or electric powered jellybean shaped econobox should be sent to the crusher. Whether it's a brand new Ford Excursion, or a `57 T-Bird, they are both equally evil. The analogy about cooking a frog fits perfectly. You can't chuck a frog into a pot of boiling water, he'll jump out and run away. But put him in a pot of cool water and slowly bring it to a boil, and you'll cook him before he knows what's happening. Just read automotive publications like Hemmings, Cars and Parts, Auto Restorer, etc. They are full of articles demonstrating how local, county, state, and federal governments are incrementally making it increasingly hard to own, register, keep, park, restore, and enjoy collectible cars. These draconian proposals are being sponsored by wackos who won't be happy until we have european style mass transit, or all ride bicycles like the Chinese. There are some great organizations and clubs dedicated to fighting that sort of assault on our Liberties. A couple of them are; SEMA, and NMA. Even if you don't join one of these organizations, read what they are fighting against, and then contact your elected representatives to voice any opposition you have to pending legislation.
