Construction process continued...
This is a inside wiew of the head and the eye mechanism. The christmas spheres are glued to the foam and the eyelids axle is connected to a small lever that is worked by the middle finger. The thumb works the lower jaw and the rest of the fingers move the nose and upper lip.
The column is made with cardboard boxes, also  re-used material.
After gluing the stones in place, I glued a layer of white paper to have a smooth surface and make it stronger.
I designed the pillar with two wings, that could be folded in both directions, so the painted side is covered during transportation.
This is the painted gargoyle in my living room... The triangular rossetes above the head are hollow, covered by see trough fabric and only painted on the outside. That's  my observation point.
