Experience:

Fall 2006-Spring 2007: Georgia College & State University: Technical Cohort Assistant. Worked 20+hrs/week with faculty to teach technical skills classes in land pursuits, water pursuits, and challenge course activities. Oversaw the rations system to fill food requests for class trips. Ran skill development workshops on building alcohol stoves and making static climbing claws. Assisted Equipment and Facilities Coordinator with management of pro-deal equipment purchase program.

Summer 2006: Experiential Resources Incorporated: Intern. Worked 40+hrs/week on challenge course construction, inspection, and training. Learned relevant construction techniques and worked closely with small team of builders on diverse projects including high tree courses, pole elements, low elements, zip lines, tower structures, and steel and wood frame climbing walls. Assisted with several course inspections and staff trainings.

Fall 2005-Spring 2006: Georgia College & State University. Equipment and Facilities Coordinator at GC&SU Outdoor Education Center. Worked 20+hrs/week with faculty to manage equipment acquisition, inventory, check-out, maintenance and retirement. Oversaw basic maintenance of facilities and coordinated outside maintenance. Managed pro-deal equipment purchase program for eligible program members. Assisted in delivering group development programs for college and outside groups.

Summer 2005, Summer 2003: Johnson & Johnson Lawn Care Service. Founded and served over 35 clients in the DC area with a wide variety of gardening and landscaping needs.

Spring 2005: College of William and Mary. Teaching Assistant for Kinesiology; Winter Camping. Assisted instructors in week-long winter skills instruction in the Adirondacks.                      

Fall 2004- Spring 2005, Spring 2002, 2003: Alexandria City Public Schools. Alexandria, VA. Substitute Teacher. Taught a variety of subjects to grades K-12.
