About the Author
Hi! My name is Mike. I was born in the Philippines and moved to Taiwan on August 1990 at age 22. I am now married and has a son. Like most Old Testament characters, I too, am a pilgrim. For our real stewardship is not on earth, but towards the heavenlies. Below is my personal testimony.

Personal Testimony

I had my early Christian beginnings at school, in Manila, called Hope Christian High School and then took a bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering at De La Salle University. After graduation and six months of work, I came to Taiwan in August 1990. Without much working experience and very poor Chinese, I went through small beginnings working as a computer data encoder in the morning and hamburger chain staff in the evening. I thank the Lord for humble and rough beginnings. For like Bible characters such as Joseph, Moses, and David, they too, like us, went through the same path. It is this way that God can make us see our own inabilities and failures, and discover His own greatness, power, and victory.

After a year in Taiwan, God opened the way for me. I found a job in a small starting computer company as a technical support engineer. I later discovered that the secret of real happiness and blessing is in serving Christ. I became active in a small church joining prayer meetings, Bible study meetings, youth fellowship, house visitations, small group meetings, and even church cleaning. Another year had passed and I was baptized on November 08, 1992 - 'Not I, but Christ lives in me.' You become to enjoy the awareness of His presence in you. It is unspeakable joy and peace inside. While serving Him, God also blessed other things in my life. The company I work for grew in business and I was able to visit other countries. God led me also to bring my family closer to Him as well as sharing the gospel to my friends at work. My mother, sister, and a close friend in Taiwan were later baptized.

It was not always sun and spring. There were also many failures and shortcomings to the Lord. Misunderstandings with people, even on church, also happens. All but are lessons of God for us to learn and obey. And no matter what, God is with you. Church brothers helped me to pursue and know more of the Lord by reading Christian writing books of F.B. Meyer (on character), Watchman Nee (on service), Andrew Murray (on devotion), Jessie Penn-Lewis (on warfare), John Bunyan (Pilgrim's Progress), and others. I learned the discipline of the cross in every Christian's life. If we are to follow Him, then we have to carry and bear our cross. We walk the pathway of the cross with Christ.

I pray to God that this personal desire of my heart to use the Internet to spread the good news and invite everyone to accept Christ will be truly blessed. May our Lord move everyone of us to build His church and shout aloud His goodness and mercy.

'To Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy.' - Amen. (Jude 24)
