"...skills are not taught in a vacuum. They are addressed in application to content, and they are evidenced in a product or performance by the learner."  Heidi Hayes Jacobs, Mapping the Big Picture, 1997.
This is the last of the mods where we will be making a Word page.  Again, following the directions in mod 3, copy and paste one of the pages, Skills and Methods K - 8, or Skills and Methods 9 - 12, and save it to your computer as:  skills            Then, add a linked lesson of your own to each benchmark at your chosen grade band and hit Save.  Then follow the instructions under the assignment section.
Type a short reflection on all the links provided by instructor at your grade band at the Skills and Methods benchmark.

Type:   "Mod 9 - Soc. - Your Name" in the subject line of the e-mail

Attach your document titled:    skills

E-mail to instructor at:   [email protected]
Optional.  How do you challenge and motivate gifted students?
According to the State of Ohio Department of Education, the process standard for skills and methods is:Students collect, organize, evaluate and synthesize information from
multiple sources to draw logical conclusions.  Students communicate this information using appropriate social studies   terminology in oral, written or multimedia form and apply what they have learned to societal issues in simulated or real-world settings.
Note you will need a password for Mods 10, 11 and 12.  If you haven't received it yet, e-mail instructor.
