A
literal
newcomer
to G.W.A., Bobby Idol
paid his dues and earned his respect at the now defunct N.Y.U.W. The
moniker
was given to him after all the other wrestlers' children proclaimed
that they
wanted to be just like the Idol. Idol appreciated their adulation, but
ultimately
wanted to be respected for his in ring work, which included a classic
feud with
the former N.Y.U.W. Interboro champion EM3 and
a
string of impressive bouts with former N.Y.U.W. talent.
The Insane Assassin and Hydro helped solidify
his reputation as an in ring general as well as a skilled wrestler.
Since his
final blockbuster match with EM3 at the final N.Y.U.W. Free Per View,
where the
feud was put to rest via his patented submission maneuver "The
Idolizer" as well as his newly unveiled finisher, "The Idol Wave,” Idol
has continued to train and study the game while waiting for his next
opportunity. That opportunity came in the form of Double X, long time
friend
and former N.Y.U.W. alum. When Management gave a call, Double X called
Idol and
got him a contract deal and now we are all waiting what will come next.
