Buttons Mac-sessive Compulsive Buttons
Welcome to Mac-simize: Mac-sessive Compulsive, the asylum for Mac-loving PC users who either cannot afford a Mac or just like the beautiful designs and interfaces of the Mac on our computers.

These visual elements have all been tested in the Windows XP environment, but I'm not liable if your computer grows fangs and gobbles New York.

This webpage skin was entirely ripped off of Aqua-Soft, and that design was an imitation of Apple's Mac OS X interface. Aqua-Soft's design was the best Mac webpage mimic I'd seen outside of Apple.

Buttons Exit Doors Buttons
Had enough Aqua visual elements for the day? The exit is just one click away. (Hint: Right Below).

Bar Skins Bar
Skin Winamp 2.x and 5.x, Windows Media Player, and Mozilla Firebird to get the look of Mac OS X, iTunes 4, or Safari.
The Winamp Aqua Blue skin was taken from Winamp's skin section. The Windows Media Player iTunes skin was taken from Customize.org. The Mozilla Firebird Brassy skin (Safari look) was designed by Tammy Lewis and taken from Mozilla Firebird's themes section. The Mozilla Firefox 0.8 Pinstripes skin (Safari look without the brushed metal) was taken from the Aqua-Soft.org site. Update: A refined version of the pre-Firefox-2 default theme for Mac OS X is available for Windows as MacFox II, and an Apple-Mail-influenced theme exists for Thunderbird as the CrossOver skin.

Bar Fonts Bar
Use fonts (in True Type Font format) that are used extensively in the Mac interface.
These fonts are normally found in Mac OS X and not in Windows. Please be careful how and where you use these fonts. This site recommends using these fonts for personal use only.

· Lucida Grande .ttf in a .zip archive
Used in the Mac OS X interface.

· Myriad Pro .ttf in a .zip archive
Current font on Apple advertisements, logo, products, and graphics titles.

· Apple Garamond [not available on this site because I'm unsure about the redistribution rights]
Used in older Apple advertisements, logo, products, and graphics titles. Also used in Think Different posters.

Bar Logons and Boot Screens Bar
Go the whole nine yards and give your PC the sexy Mac look at startup and at log-on screens.
Warning: Changing these appearance elements, depending on which software or means you use to make the changes, can alter system files in Windows, particularly the ntoskrnl.exe file. Your system will most likely run just fine. The only problem that might occur if you do modify system files is that you might not be able to upgrade to the next Windows service pack. So I suggest that you use Style XP software by TGTSoft to implement logon screen changes and EzyWin to implement boot screen changes. However, both of these are shareware, meaning that they are either limited versions or limited time period usage versions. This is just a precaution. It's not dangerous. I use it. Just keep this info in mind.

· Mac OS X Boot-up Screen - from Theme XP
